Got this thing for a gift 2 years ago, tried flying it like 5 times, every time it just nosed dived so I put it away. Got the itch to see if It would work again and same thing. I just don't get it, I've tried everything. I even started the thing at full throttle and when I threw it slammed down so it would go up as fast as possible and nothing.

Is there something simple I'm missing or what?

Find the local club/flying field and seek help from an experienced modeler. Welcome to a great hobby!
