Rchobbiesindo.com Their prices seem a little unreal and they want money wired to their bank. They say they don't accept credit cards or paypal. Sound a little fishy to me. Anyone done bussiness with them??

I've seen similar from places in Indonesia, and some of the smaller islands.

personally I'd never trust them with wiring money to their bank

I agree, they have a really nice site but the prices are just too low to believe.

I started to go threw the checkout to see what the deal was. I figured the shipping would be high, but it was free!

But the "options" for payment was only bank transfer. I see paypal at the bottom, but it wasnt give as an option at checkout.

To bad. Id take the chance if I could pay with paypal...as paypal would refund if it was a faud thing. And they have the traxxas rally 1/10 at $100 less than Ive seen anywhere else.

Most of the time, if it seems too good to be true...but dang a RTR axial honcho for $210 shipped!

I was searching for a Schumacher Manic Twin (which I just realized is discontinued) and they show them in stock. I guess that's another red flag.

according to their info, they do bank transfer for international customers. I guess that means only locals can do paypal or credit cards. That doesnt seem right to me. Why wouldnt credit cards or paypal work for us here in the US?

If they took paypal, Id give them a try. But bank transfer...No thanx.

Some places just can't or won't be allowed to use international CC payment due to the risks of fraud. Heck, Paypal only just started here in the Middle East about 2 years ago or so. And even then you were only allowed 1 transaction a day. They are finally opening a rep office here in Dubai shortly.

There are plenty of other websites or online rc shops out there that inspire more trust in international transactions.

Schumacher Manic... I haven't seen one of those in years. It's also like $100 cheaper than they originally were. I think they only sold a few, wouldn't surprise me if someone bought a bunch of the unsold ones. The site screams scam... but they do have contact info.

I made the important parts bold

So yes while it says they accept Paypal, Visa, and Mastercard they don't give you the option if you are a non-native

Try and buy something and see if you can pay with PayPal. I emailed them and they told me they will not accept paypal or credit cards from international buyers but if I had friends in Indonesia they could pick it up and pay with a CC.

I did the same, emailed them asking why no paypal.
they only said they can do bank transfer for international buyers.

Prices may be awsome, and they could be legit, but I aint risking my money. If they took paypal Id do it, as I could get my money back from paypal if things went south.
