Have been flying the mCPX for about a month and other than normal wear and tear it has worked flawlessly. I have the RTF version, actually the newer V2. Just recently I noticed that the main rotor will not return to the neutral position unless I force it using opposite control throw. If I control hard left (or right, backwards, forwards) and then let go of the control stick, the Tx stick will snap back to center (neutral) but the heli rotor will stay slanted over and not return to center. I just replaced the tail boom and had a few successful flights, but now this. Tried different freshly charged batteries and no difference. Mechanically and visually, everything looks ok. Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Sounds like dirty servos to me.  I havent had to clean my servos, yet.  But, I have heard that cleaning the servos at some point or other on the mCPX is pretty much the norm.

I had a nasty crash with mine a few weeks ago. Checked it over like I always do and kept on flying. The weird part was that it would not hold inverted. Like it had lost all the negative pitch settings. It would over pitch on positive and have almost nothing negative. After scratching my head for a few days, I checked the heli again thinking that the main shaft may have slipped off the main gear, and that is when I found that the main shaft was actually broken at the top retainer and had just enough gap to loose the negative in the pitch and over-pitch on the positive side. A new main shaft fixed the problem. The weird part is that the heli flew great right-side-up with the broken main shaft. If I hadn't gone inverted, I probably would not have noticed until the two parts finally separated.

Interesting, I'll check the main shaft. I also read, after a search, that someone with a nano experienced the same issue. The responders stated that this condition is normal and it has something to do with the gyro. They also mentioned that the rotor will re-center when the throttle is shut down and this is what mine does. So I'm assuming that the mCPX has similar control logic and all this is normal. But who knows?
