Hey Y'all.   Im a newbie to electric flight.  I just picked up a E-Flite Albatros Dva and I am looking for a wooden WWI style prop.  Could not find anything specifically made for electric motors and I read somewhere that I could use a standard wooden prop.  This is all well and good but would I have to go down a size in prop due to the added weight of the standard prop?  What about the hole in the center.  Im using a eflite 32 motor and itr has a 5mm shaft.  Isnt this smaller than the holes that are drilled in standard props (the 14x7 size I need)?

Would appreciate any help you could offer!

Bubba

There are plenty of wooden 14x7 to choose from e.g. http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/xoa/xoapjn14x7.htm, but for any of them, you'd need to drill out the hub bore to accommodate an 8mm collet-type or set-screw-type adapter (for 5mm motor shaft).
