I'm using a 14X6 APC on my .91FX engines, because they provide a bit more braking than the recommended 13X7 and the 15X6 provides a bit too much braking. The 13X7 was really fast, and I had trouble slowing the Sukhoi down, the 14X6 provided all the speed I wanted, and would slow down the plane on approach.

You can try the MA 14X6, but I think your .61 will want to spin a bit faster than your prop will allow. If it works to suit you for power, it will probably slow the plane down on approach for landing, and that can be a good thing.

I think I'm using 12X6 and 13X6 on my .61 Zero. Enjoy your plane!

Good advice. I run 12x6 wood props with my 61FX. For peak power you need to get to the max power RPM. Also the engine will run cooler with less load. If power and cooling are no issue, then bigger props are fine. The nylon Master Airscrews and APCs are heavy and will give you flywheel effect for lower idle.

Generally, 11-7, 12-6 is the typical sized prop for a .61.
