I don't suggest anything larger than 1/24 for indoor use.  The Losi 1/24's are pretty popular right now and the 1/36 are neat too.  They are a little cheaper but only 2wd.

I have a 1/36 Micro T that I converted with a Bluegroove chassis which makes it more of a 1/30 or 1/32.  About all their good for is chasing a dog in your livingroom on low-pile carpet or the kitchen floor.  You can run on a clean driveway but forget about dirt.  Pebbles are like boulders to these things and the smallest bits of debris get caught up in the wheels and axles easily.  Indoors, carpet fiber, hair and whatever else is on the floor winds up in the axles so you have to clean them often.

I'm sorry I don't have a list of models available but generally speaking the Losi's are pretty popular because they are widely available and parts are usually pretty cheap and easy to come by.  I'd suggest the brushless 1/24 Losi Micro SCT.  It's plenty powerful, can be fast with LiPo power and it jumps well.  The Rally cars are cool looking but their lower body and goofy front bumper dig in upon landing and it's basically impossible to land the car flat.

you need a good sized area to run anything bigger than 1/24 indoor.
I have a Redcat tremor 1/16, but even tho its brushed and 4wd its far to quick to run in the house. Unless you have a large basement or something like that you wont have much fun with stuff bigger than the losi 1/24 models.
Even my 1+ garage is too small to really have fun with the 1/16 redcat.

Ive had the losi 1/24 short course truck. Didnt care for the battery door (instead of clips it has screws, and tiny ones at that)
but its a good sized for indoor running. For me, the 1/36 are too small to be any fun. But the 1/24 models are great for small jumps or even a small homemade track.

AH, ok, so 1/18-1/14 would be fine.

Whats your budget? There are a few nice short course trucks out there. Want 2wd or 4wd?

Ill say this, if I were to buy a mini right now Id go with a short course truck.
choices there-in....losi 1/18. Its 2wd, simple chassis, easy to use.
team associated's mini is a belt driven 4wd SCT
and then there is the traxxas mini slash. Ive had one, and the brushed version aint bad.

IMO, brushless on smaller scale models isnt much fun. push any of these trucks beyond 25mph and they are very hard to control.

The losi is cheapest. There is also the losi 1/18 desert truck which has some cool looks and shares alot with the mini T.

I recently bought my redcat tremor 1/16. It has a 3-1 ESC, but it is 2.4ghz and comes with a 7.4v Li-ion battery. This truck has more punch than most RTR mini's Ive owned. Top speed is the same, but acceleration due to the lighter and more powerful battery is good.
The tremor is under $100 which is pretty good. It does come with bushings and friction shocks(not oil) which kinda sucks. I upgraded my shocks, but not the bushings yet.

If you like your losi, Id say go with the mini slash. Not that much smaller, handles fairly well, and the brushed isnt too expensive for a 4wd.
