OK all from 2006 Jen 56 it is now increased to 57?? SAME AS a TS56 I have sort of a close dup in size since I have all those irvine 53s

with all the irvine 53s may sell off the the TS and JEN 56 ( diesel heads of course) do not know if TS still out there under that brand name they are still made by a company
in china, they still make them for Just engine UK have gone from .56 to .57 that seems odd martin

Just found one (TS) 56 on flea bay bid up to 66$ US glow

WHOOPS messed up my TS is a 91 and have a ASP 91 identical engines except for logo diesel heads AJC the 91s are ringed

think the TS brand is gone looks like all ASP now the 91 ASP is listed by Just Engines got very good reviews

the PIx is the Jen 56

Here is the Tiger Shark 91 and ASP 91 , Irvine 53 in foreground not the best shot the 53 is about 2/3rds the size picture does not indicate this should have done side by side martin
the ASP and TS are identical almost one uses a draw clamp for the carb the other screws to hold in so a crankcase variance just caught that and iintake passage on side different not even close maybe an early ASP ?? version on the TS ASP has had updates now series 3 I think
maybe both made by Sanya

I am now totally confused on these two any thoughts guys??

Once Jen engines were made by JBA China. Also TS brand was JBA factories ' first generation engines. Then they sell SK brand as  2. generation and then JBA brand 3. generation engines.SK engines were good but JBA is  great.I have many JBA glow engines and especially JBA 56 F type ABC engines are champions.(F types are new version  of JBA)
Also they have JBA 56 F type ringed engines. And look at the prices.

I understand that after bringing out the orginal range of Sanye mass market glow engines (ASP/SC/SY brand) in the very lates 80's and early 90's Alvin So, chief designer, moved on the Tiger Shark (TS/TSI) project and brought that range to the market.

I did hear that Alvin So died unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident.

Shortly thereafter the two stroke Sanye range were re-designed as copies of the OS FX range. Four strokes were always based around the OS Surpass design.

The orginal range of ASP were not copies as many think, though it is fair to say the initial ASP .40 with it's seperate front housing owed a lot to the OS 40 FSR design. That said, no parts interchange.

I have no personal knowledge of the above and would be happy to be corrected by someone who does.

Derek, a good example of the non clone idea is the OS 1.08 that Martin has and the ASP 1.08 that I have. I was going to borrow his OS 1.08 Davis head but when Martin went to remove the head he noticed that the OS 1.08 has 8 head bolts and my ASP 1.08 has 6, no worky.
