Hi y'all,
I need help in finding a source in the Atlanta area for styrofoam. It must be virgin styrofoam around one pound in weight. Thank for the help and have a nice day.

I would try some of the local lumber yards in town. Not your big box stroes like Lowes or Home Depot. I purchase 4' x 8' x 4" sheets at our local lumber yard for about $60.
Good Luck
Fred

Scott,
Where do you get your foam? I found a place which is close to the Georgia and Tennesse state border that sells styrofoam, but it is about six plus hours drive one way. I have a Dirty Birdy and a Comp Taur in the building stages that I need foam to make the wings.

We have a place here in just outside of Knoxville.. Great price and they do 3/4 and 1 pound virgin.. it was the same source Dennis Hunt used. I usually call and place a order, they blow it and give it a few days to cure and pick it up. 4x8x4 is less than $ 20.00 a sheet.

It is a cool place to hangout at and watch all the foam work.

Scott do you have the contact info for your foam supplier? Here in the SF bay area I have found only 1 place that has 1 lb virgin foam and I paid 115.00 for the 4X8X4" sheet

Try ACH Foam Technologies in Gainesville, good foam, good prices. There may be a minimum, if it's too much, get with me, I think I can spare you enough for a couple of wings.

Georgia Foam, Inc. in Gainesville, Ga. Is another source. They will cut what you need in numbers and thickness and require 2 to 3 days before your order is ready for pick up. I have never ordered from them, but they were very nice when I talked to them on the telephone.
Gltruett, thank you for the offer to share your foam supply. I will let you know. Have a nice day.
