hankers -> RE: GPS lap tracking software?? (1/29/2013 9:35 PM)

Thanks for the interest guys. This method used by system is not GPS, it's more like GPS upside down, I have to do the math. The project has been a tough slog but its moving onto firm ground with applications being coded instead of muddling around deep in the the bones of project. I've been able to work on it pretty steady since the first post. I'll post a new blog entry soon with some of the advances as soon as they've been tested. There are 3 levels of service planned for 1) Speed trap. 2 Stations, One model ... F3B, F5B, Helicopter. System times the transit between stations and signals the start and end events in either direction. 2) Club race. 3 Stations, Four slow models. System is mounted on pylons, communicates with Judgeman for turns, cuts and lap-counting. 3) High speed race. 6 Stations, Up to 6 models, including Q40, F3D, and F5D. I'm working on #1, and have the key elements ready for #2 & #3. Hank
