I went to mail some items at my local Post Office (USPS).
The normal questions were asked, "any flammable, liquid, pershible or hazardous materials?

But what got me were the added restrictions, and Lipo Batteries?

I asked her what?
She said Lipo batteries.
I said no and asked why, is due to fires?. Yep she said, can no longer haul them mail them or ship them if they are not in their devices ( I guess that is so cell phones can still be shipped)

Has any one else came across this yet?

I think "batteries" has been on the haz-mat list for a long time.

Perhaps a year ago the regs were changed.  Ground shipment is fine I believe.  Supposed to be allowed domestically but not out of continental US???  Where were you shipping?

I was shipping something else and was asked if i had lipos. (My shipment was domestic). I had never been asked specifically about "Lipos" ever before. Thats why I posted it.

I get my Lipos from Hobby King in Hong Kong.  From Hong Kong to the U.S. is by Swiss Post, then USPS brings them on to Dallas.
