My wife and I recently retired and we are currently cleaning out our home to prepare it for sale. While excavating 32 years of accumulated "stuff" in the basement today, I ran across a box I packed back when I quit flying in 2000. Some of the things I found were:

- Retracts
   - a NIB set of Southern Pro main retracts
   - a like new set of green MK trike gear retracts
   - a like new pair of OK FRP main retracts

- JR Radio equipment
   - Receivers and transmitter modules from my Century 7, Unlimited 8, and Galaxy 9 radios
   - 2 NIB JR Extra 800 mah battery packs (one 4.8v and one 6V)
   - 1 NES-703 low profile retract servo

- Ace R/C shop electronics stuff that still works 30 years after I built it
   - Chargemaster
   - HD 500 Charger
   - DMVC (Dual Metered Vari Charger)
   - CVC

- Royal ProTach Expanded Scale Tachometer
- Heavy Duty Solid State 12 volt 3 Amp power supply
- All of my wonderful Zona razor saws
- A bag full of dozens of Dremel rotary tool bits, collets and cutters
- Mitutoyo 0" - 1" Micrometer
- High Point Prop Balancer
- Lots of other neat stuff

I inventoried everything and repacked part of this into a smaller box that doesn't weight 50#!!! The rest I'll deal with tomorrow as well look for more memories. It's time to deal with all the airplanes.

DO yourself a favor and ditch the battery packs, THey've been stored for so long that they will most probably have accumulated some black wire. It's be a shame to lose an aircraft from a dodgy pack.

Apart from that, great find! I wish I could do that, unfortunately I'm too organised to ever have any 'discoveries'.

Sounds like I should lazy eh?!

Here's a couple more goodies I unearthed today. I bought these at a local auction years back and never did anything with them.

The orange wing appears to be very similar to the Bridi Kaosplanform, but it's doesn't appear to be quite as thick. I'll have to compare it to the origianl Kaos and Super Kaos plans I have stashed somewhere. I can see a nice Kaos style fuselage in it's future. Other than the small cream colored stripes on the wingtips, the top of the wing is completely orange, so my old eyes need some trim up there. Any suggestions on color - I like plenty of contrast.

The red wing is something of a mystery to me. What you see with the checkerboard and the aileron servo cutout  is the BOTTOM of the wing. It's from some sort of high-wing plane, but the weird thing is that it has threaded inserts in the wing for attachment. That would seen to indicate that it bolts on from the inside of the plane. HUH???? The top side of the wing has a rounded area down the center, seemingly indicating a round-top fuselage. The only plane the comes to mind is a Prather Panther - see the photos in the link below. Any ideas?

I'd suggest that it may be from a shoulder wing plane, and there's a separate canopy hatch that goes over the servo hole.

Just an idea anyway.

Nope - the threaded inserts are in the wing. That means that the screws went through holes in the fuselage and into the wings.
