So I'm looking to put pneumatic wheel brakes on an IMAC style plane, has anyone seen a brakes system that would work in this application? I have many friends with jets and the thought crossed my mind that it would be nice to be able to stop my plane on some of those "hot" landings before running off the end of the pavement.  I realize you would not want to ing age them until you were able to stick the tail to the ground, but I think it would be cool to be able to stop the plane from rolling away, or having to do the s turns at the end of the runway to bleed speed to turn around.  Just a thought.

Exactly, you'll spend more on props

That and IMAC planes don't land all that fast anyways.

I agree, brakes dont sound like a good idea on a tail dragger. Heres something that works though, try putting both your ailerons on a switch that when activated they both go to 30 degrees or more full UP. On the grass my CARF Yak only rolls a few feet once deployed. It seems the faster you land, the more effective they are. Just be sure you are on the ground when you deploy them. Try it, it may be what you are looking for, it worked for me....Gene

here you go:

http://www.whiteroseeng.com/products/Maingearwheels.html

disc brake system for the main wheels. Basically just a drag system that's adjustable by how tight the magnets are to the disk. Pricey$$$ but I've seen them on a plane locally and it seems to work well for the pilot.

I would just suggest landing slower. Just think how slow you get the plane to go before the stall/spin maneuver. Pitch the nose up to slow down and use throttle to control altitude/descent rate.
