I'm running a Hobbypartz Detrum 64mm EDF power combo set (64mm EDF+40A ESC+4pcs 9g servos+KV4400 brushless motor) in my Phase III EF16 on 3S. Has anyone tried this setup on 4S? I bench ran it on a 4S and it peaked at 48 amps but I only ran it for a few seconds. I have friends that run 4S on 40amp ESCs with success but wanted to hear opinions on this setup.

I had one three years ago and toasted the speed control and motor on a 4 cell 2200 mah (can not remember brand). Flew 3-4 flights with 4 cell before it burned. It literally developed a smoke trail which looked very cool. When I landed it caught on fire. Not cool
