Battery, motor and ESC should be just about it, I believe.

I am putting a Tekin 1700kv in there. I know it fits in the motor mount but will i need a special pinion or anything like that?

No. As the Tekno kit does nothing to your center diff or spur, you will just need the pinion that matches stock specs. And I would recommend going more around the 2000Kv range, you will still have more torque than you know what to do with!

Thanks and I got an RX8 and 1700kv motor for $200. I would gladly go with a 2000kv over the 1700 BUT i can't beat this price right now.

Eh, run it for a bit, you may fall in love with it. If not, then somebody out there is always willing to make trades!

The 2000 is a truggy motor I believe, not that that's a bad thing, they make even more torque, just saying. 1700 is low for a buggy, use a large pinion (18 to 20 tooth), be aware that some tekno kits require a long shank pinion, I don't know about this specific one.
