My brison cylinder,the very top two very small fins are showing cracks from a previous crash,is this fixable with a weld or something else,or will it need a cylinder which is probably no longer availabl

If there is no other damage, small broken fins will have little or no effect on how the engine runs or cools. Put it inside a cowl where you can't see it, run and enjoy it.

put a big flat blade screw driver under the fin and pry it up until it pops off just think of it as a lightening technique.

and if for whatever reason you ever really do need to replace the cylinder just remember that it came from a saw. plenty of good used ones at saw shops or feepay and plenty of sources for brand new ones as well.

mike, I have alot of Brisons with top fins that have broken off thanks to the rough handling of the USPS. they all run fine. Check this one out. Dan
