Ballerina 1/3 scale by hacker-model.com
hello to all
i have just got my wet dream!
60cc gas Ballerina 1/3 scale , made by Hacker-model from the check Rebq'
i'm using a JC 60cc gas, all servos are CS-150, TH-HT645 and RUdd is HT5645
the manual, if u can call it like that is very poor...
is anyone here ever build this model?
can i get some help please for the construction part?
my concern is for the tail part, Ver-Hoz stab's and the correct actual CG. recommended is 90mm aft leading edge.
here some links and pics
thanks

RE: Ballerina 1/3 scale by hacker-model.com
I have never built that particular model but I have built a 1/3 scale Cosmic Wind which that is. What is the wing span in inches? Here are a couple pictures of mine, it's powered with a Zenoah GT 80

hello
cool model, is it Hacker made?
mine is Hacker made, with 1900mm wing span so in Inch it wouls be 74.8~in.
untill now, all my work on the model was on hold as i suffered CRAZY back pain and spinal disk issues...so it is very difficult to work on my models
i feel better now and will continue the work hoping this week by installing the engine->cowl followed ny the rear servos as i want it to be perfectly balanced
so all the rest interior EG fuel tank, radio, Batt ...etc will be after that while making sure the CG is on the spot at all times.
CG is 90mm beyong leading edge of the wing acording to the manual
BUT, you never know till you get it up to the air...
my rule is , to keep it by the book, than make just a bit, nose heavey, go up...and than move the battery FwBw to get the perfect CG per the model performances.
i want to use a basic prop 23X10 for my JC60cc engine - that will get me up to 200KMh...
if i will use the racing props EG 19X16 - it will get me up to 250Kmh and each landing would be with engine cut as must, as it wont slow down.
what prop do you use on the G80?
did you convert the G80 to nitro? i know that at the time , modelers use to convert a bog GAS engines such as the Zenoha 80 to Nitro , which produces much more power with less weight , no ignition or magneto...
i'm adding the PDF here so you can get you impressions
happy landings

RE: Ballerina 1/3 scale by hacker-model.com
hello againworking on the Ballerina again, after suffering from mt back for the past 4 month...! oouch!
to be honest
this model is not an ARF...as theres a lot of work to do and lot of rethinking as well...
some defects that i found:
1. the main Alu bom was longer by 5 mm, so when the wings are attached, theres a 4-5 mm gap to the fuse...see pic...so i had to cut 4.2 mm from the boom
2. ELEV install is a crap! it is mounted to the fuse with 2 bolt and blind nuts while the nuts ar on the ELE surface, on top of them comes the RUDD... to everthing needs to be calculated percicly prior to any drilling, glueing...
3. the inner cover o fthe fibergalss isnot glued well to the composite fusealeg, to each cut that id on the fuse... servos, htacj and so on, i need to glue the the edges with Q glue..
until now i have done the following:
1. install the tail LDG
2. make room for 2XELEv servos and 1X Rudd Servo
4. cenetr line the ELEV with 2 VIA holes for the bolts and blind nuts
5. install wings
6. short the wing boom by 4.2 MM to compensate on the gap btween the wing and fuse.

today i have manged to install the ELEV stab, still need to line with the wings A=A...!
then, to gkue on top of it the RUDD stab, while makeing 2 slots where the eleb stab blind nuts are..
glue in place the servo wood pieces...install 3 servos ...2Xelev and 1X Rudd...run the wires...
the main problem is the engine as it is a double firewall....
but this will be next week..

shalom to all
here some more pics of the intensive work on this model which is not AN ARF!!!!
lot of sbading and modifications is needed.
3 rear servos were instaled lateley togather with the hatch locker for the canopy, the rear side of the canopy will be tighten with lock nuts on the canopy and 3/32 bolts.
i didi a mistake with the servo positions place - as i did it identecaly paralel to each other -> ELEV to ELEV-> a noraml servo wont fit in as they will touch each other...
so i will use HITECH BB77 which is 5.5Kg@6V per each ELEV surface, should be effcient
enjoy the pics and thank you for watching
comments are welcom

Did not see latest pics on Hacker build, looks good so far from pics on the 7th. Your rt., it's not an ARF as we know today but it will look good when done, and a lot of experience during the build, will follow.

Hi there
work is in the fast lane...
had some spare time to do some cosmetics...
have some issue with the engine mount as the original base is too smal in surface for the standoff's...!
i guess i'll need to buld a new wooden box from scratch! i hate when parts dont fit

on going work...
trying to align the engine and cowl...will need a extra hand as it is difficult to do alone
ordered 40mm standoffs so the hights of the cowl edge and the spiner plate wont wont eceed 2 mm...
fuel tank is ready as wll as the "air flow" inner diverters, id di cut some VIA on the fuse for the AIR FLOW, will finialize after engine is intslled though...
canopy is done as well...
enjoy the pics

Watching your build and then maybe geting one from RCBaron.
How did you install the blind nuts, screw them down into the wood or pound them into the wood?

hello to all
have did some progress with the engine mount...took a while as the original stands are longer than the distance you will need to be clear with the cowl and spinner plate...should be 20.7 mm!!
this is the smalles gap i could get as the engine mounts and air/fuel needls should have good accses...!
did some dremel-ing for cowl and air cool passes in the fuse...
also, have uinstalled "toilet setting lid" as the wing bolt to the fuse - works great!! very cheap at any DIY
enjoy

hello again
the Racer is 95% complette!!!!
engine +Ignition+fuel lines is in place+TH servo and pushrod+choke pull mechanisim
( AS THE JC60 EVO IS MOUNTED SIDE WAYS RT-> IT WOULD BE RECOMNDED TO USE A TWING BOXER ENGINE INSTED!!! THAT WAY LESS WORK ON COWLING AND KEEPING THE NICE SHAPE AND FIGURE!!!
muffler and cowl are placed and cut/trimed acordingly
Rudd+Elev sevos and pushrods are in place and calibrated+Tail wheel
TX+wires+Opto cut off unit+IGI batt NIMH 2600Mah are placed.
Vertical and horizontal stab cover was removed and replaced with wite silicon pate +screws insted of CA glue as originaly!!!
need to do:
1.CG!!
2. LIPO 3000 Mah 40C location - per CG
3. on-off SW X2 -> Main+Ignition
.......
break in and test flight....
see the pictures
