Ive been out of rc for a while and i'm just now getting back into it. I have trex 600n and a 700n. I'm wanting to convert them over to fbl system but i dont know anything about them. Don't want to spend alot of money but i don't want the cheapest either. Something thats user friendly and has good computer use.

Beast-X is good, and of course V-Bar set the standard when they first came out

Status: offline 		I've flown just about all of them out there from the cheap China clones to the DJI and my personal preference is V-bar. BeastX is the easiest 'Out of the box' to setup and get a stable flying bird but it lacks the fine tuning.

Status: offline 		 very cool,  thank you for the info. Out of the two which one do you think is the most affordable.  V bar or heli command?  And where is a good online store to purchase the v bar or heli command?

Status: offline 		 I'm really excited to be back into helis agian.  I'm also wanting to get a couple of electric ones also.  I've always had good luck with alugn but what would be a really good 700 size electric?  Something that's reliable and had the best engineering and parts supply.  Or do you think the trex700 is just as good The rest of them?

Status: offline 		A lot of people are liking the Skookum 540. I was thinking of trying it myself also, but you need a computer to set it up or buy their field terminal. I have 2 BeastX's on my 600 & 700 and they are easy to set up.

Status: offline 		I have VBar on two of my 3 helis. And that's fine. The last is my TRex 600N, flybarred retro-kopter.

But I think you must think about how you want to go about setting it up:

If you want to look at LED's and use your throttle stick, the MicroBeast could be for you.

If you would like to either use a PC, a Control Panel with a smallish LCD screen in hand or your Android phone, VBar is for you.
I love using Bluetooth with my phone; the app gives me control over just about everything. You can buy an expensive BT VBAR
module or use a cheap from eBay - up to you.

If you just want to use a PC and the VBar is too expensive, the MSH Brain (same as IKON) could be for you. It also has a bail out function.
A friend of mine just got one and he's very happy with it. He feels much more secure having that bail-out button, and it has completely
transformed him.

I have an Align 3G lying about, just in case. It did work ok with my Align 500ESP - even the tail. But it's not considered one of the
good units today - it's quite outdated. It's easy to setup, though. But if you want to fine tune it with your PC, it's not that easy.
I find I don't understand half of what's on the screen.

The 3Gx I don't know anything about. Neither the Skookum's.

For a large, interesting heli I'd look at the Goblin, any size. I have a Beam Avantgarde 600 size, and it's awesome. Light, smooth
and agile. Also built very well, with sacrifical small parts and no need for upgrades, except maybe the antirotation bracket. It has a
belted tail and herringbone main gear. Very low noise. It's both traditional and also well engineered, stiff and crashworthy.
