I am in the process of building a Gemini GT-40 and decided to post a thread on the construction of this model. The one being built will be powered by 2 OS .45 engines and will be using SpringAir retracts. First pic shows the layout of the basic fuselage components with doublers glued to the fuselage sides and bulkheads. Pic 2 shows the fuselage assembly beginning with the main bulkheads epoxied in and the wing mounts installed (fuselage has been taken off jig for theses pics). Pic 3 shows the remaining bulkheads, stabilizer saddle and nosegear mount installed. Pic 4 shows the fuselage top sheet installed. Pic 5 shows the elevator and rudder pushrod outer tubes installed. Pic 6 shows the aft fuselage bottom sheeting, forward fuselage sheeting and nose block installed.
