Status: offline 		You Guys asked for it, and Wilson has delivered! First In Flight is a Pilots event, and we've constantly asked you, "what do YOU want to see added?" The biggest request we had last year was to add one more day. Seems 4 days at that awesome facility just wasnt enough, so we went to the City of Wilson with your request. Without hesitation they said YES! They'd love to have you guys burn holes in the sky an extra day. So with that being said, the Event will officially start on Wednesday this year. Wilson is letting us start setting up a day earlier than normal. Hey,,,you asked for it,,,we got it! Event dates are May 22-26 2013. Flying,,,All Day Long!

Wait a minute,,,,,,, There was something else you guys wanted! Hmmm,,,, Oh,, I remember now! You wanted to move the Awards Ceremony to Saturday night. DONE!!!


What else???? Saturday Night Southern Style Pig Picking??? DONE!!!!!

We're really excited about the event this year, and I know you guys are ready to start burning some jet-A. We'll get an official thread started in the near future, but if you have any questions you need answered now just shoot an e-mail to me. In case youre not familiar with our event, Wilson provides us a 4500 X 150 runway ! A big hanger for overnight storage, and we're located just off interstate I-95 in Wilson NC. The event crew provides as much hospiltality as we can, and we try to keep a smile on everyones face. Hope to see you guys there.

Greg, You will not be disappointed. FIF is a *great* place to fly your Hun(s)!

Larry, any idea when you are going to post the info. on tent rental?

Hey Bob,
We stay at the microtel. There are two or three more right next to the microtel. The first year I stayed at a Comfort or Days inn on the other side of town or 95. Not the best choice. So look at the Microtel or ones near it. There are many as it's right off I95.

You can get great rates by clicking the Wilson Industrial Air Center link page here and scrolling down most of the page to the "Where to Stay" section. Below are the hotels listed on that page. Status: offline 		Just called the Microtel and added the Tuesday evening to our trip so we are good to go with three rooms for the entire event. WOO HOO! hope to have the two 125% Terminators ready but if not the new BVM F-86 EDF will fly there for the test flight.

Status: offline 		You guys can look for the official First In Flight Jet Rally thread to start soon! Still working out a few details. We'll have tent rental prices, hotels links, and much more. We're really thrilled to be adding another day to the event.
5 Full Days of flying from an outstanding venue!!! 150' X 4500' runway. No obstructions. Lots of hanger storage. Hotels and great eating places very close by, and its all located right off I-95 ! It's gonna be a GREAT event, and judging by the e-mails and phone calls from across the pond, we're looking at a big turn out!
