I have had the best luck with regular gorrilla glue for foam to foam and foam to wood - dont use the quick set clear stuff - not as good a bond. moisten your parts first and use moderate clamping pressure so the parts dont expand, it kind of foams up and expands when its curing. then you can cut and sand off the excess. epoxy works ok too for quick fixes but the gorilla bonds to the foam like nothing else.

Use the blue dow board from the lumber yard. Sometimes it's pink as well. Peel off the plastic film from the foam
and it's good to glue up. You can use a slow set epoxy 45 minute to glue up foam to foam or wood to foam.

Use the epoxy lite as you don't need much. If using wood over the foam, use 1/16" ply on the bottom and sides.
Clamp and or tape real good until the epoxy dries. Then fill any gaps with a epoxy and add baby powder to thicken it up to your liking.
The baby powder acts as a suspender for the epoxy.

Thanks.

That looks pretty good!
Any reason you want to cover it?

I second using gorilla glue. I also have a vac bag, that makes skinning foam super easy.

NOt going to cover the concept with this boat is light weight. I just put some packing tape on the bottom to protect it from pavment rash i put a 8,8 prop on today and it has way more thrust will run it on water tomorrow the 7.6 was faster but still not fast enough. The need for foam to wood epoxy was the motor mount

Oops, cover was the wrong word I guess. I meant why are you skinning (covering) the foam with wood?

I see you just wanted a good glue for fastening your mount. In that case I would have said dig a little hole and use gorilla glue.

Your project still looks pretty cool.

I did make a few under cuts in the foam so the epoxy would have a better grab on the foam yea my skinning is just tape this would bairly move if i added more weight to it
