Now that the mods have graciously added a special section for the larger scale cars, lets see if we can fill this space!

I'd like to meet some quarter and fifth scale racers, if any are lurking ....

I too am glad a giant scale forum was added.

Personally, I have a 1/4 scale yankee Suzuki Vitara (off-road capable) and an FG EVO 1/5 scale on-road.

That's really interesting. I thought quarter scale was populated mostly by Cup cars and trucks.

Can you post any photos of them?

Thanks...as my R/C education continues...

The red car is 1/4 scale.

The jet car is a FG i think.

Thanks Strykaas,

That jet car looks intriguing!

This thread needs an extra pic or two......

I just picked up a used 1/4 scale and plan to "not" hit the track this afternoon. This guy was selling two of them, so the owner of one of the LHS bought one and I purchased the other. The plan is to get together later and race it. So far I've only ran it down the street.

What do you guys recommend for upgrades? Brakes? So far the only thing I have changed is the receiver and its batteries. I use JR's crystaless transmitter/receiver set up and the batteries didn't seem to be holding a charge--they were some old stuff.

Hi, just checked the site as Talladega was getting started.

For brakes, you might try- http://www.dannysqscale.com/

Upload a pic of your car, that we can click on, if you'd like.

Well, back to the race!

There are lots of R/C pictures and a few videos on my home page: http://www.tnbproductions.com

Right now, there are only 2 photos of the 1/4 scale in the "Radio Control Cars" section (they also enlarge when clicked on). I'll probably add a few more photos or a video later since it looks like it is still a go for the 1/4 track this evening. I just purchased a new digital camcorder so I have been playing with it as well as trying to figure out Adobe Premier.

My 1/4 scale looks like the models on the following website link with the exception that it has "Dale Earnhardt" above the side windows.

Thanks for the link. Is anyone coming here for the Super Nationals on October 15-18? The Hobby Visions convention is also here on October 11 & 12.

I've just finished uploading a 1/4 scale R/C video to my website that I took at the track tonight.
