Trying to determine proper fuel tank size for a DLE35-RA. Had an 800cc tank planned but its too tight in the layout.

Will a 550cc (18.5 oz) work? This is in an RC Guys' AG Wagon. How long at normal flying speed do you think this tank will last?

That tank should last about 15 minutes at WOT

That should work just fine. Fuel burn should be 1.2 oz per minute at WOT.

16 oz is good enough

I've read this "rule of thumb" few time on this forum: "A gas engine with a conventional muffler burns approximately its displacement in cc's each minute at full throttle." That would seem to agree with the other replies. (550/35=15.7 min.)

What's the approximate difference between WOT and say 3/4 throttle, and would using a linear measure be a reasonable assumption.

it is load dependent, not throttle position.
True assumption: You will use less.
