I have a 9-C futaba , I want to use a lipo battery , I know that you can get them but the peoblem is that when fully chargde they reach up to 12. volts. Question is can the rado handle that voltage.

I have used a HK Rhino 2650 3s lipo in my 9C super for the last 2 years and have had no problems.
It really is appealing when you can leave the transmitter alone for ( several months) and still have the same voltage no drop.

Just make sure you find a lower C rating or specifically stated for at transmitter and you should have no problems

make a battery pack of 2500 mah eneloop nimh batteries. they can be charged in radio and they don't self discharge like other nimh. and they provide same voltage as original battery pack. make pack with rad shack battery holder and solder connector on to holder cheap and simple when batteries are totally ng just replace them with new aa eneloop cells
