Be there Tuesday with a trailer load of Scott's planes. May have to strap a couple of planes to the roof of the trailer. GEEZ, a 32 foot trailer and its still not enough. :-)
To answer your on who's getting ready, working on it. Worked on a new Shockwave the past couple of days. Fitted it with electric retracts and a electric gear door actuator, now that is really cool. Works awesome.

Hell yeah! I am getting into Miami the week before ( Pretty much straight from another event in Australia..... Do you think I am keen ? LOL ) The " Dream team" are all heading down to Mayhem park for a bit of " jets over the freeway" action. I hope to join them there.
Bob O.. Good work buddy. Tell Scott that one can be my Shockwave

Not going,

Florida is like the Mecca of rc and they can't even find a paved runway no thanks...

That is wierd, same with Top Gun. There are paved runways at clubs all over Florida not sure what the issue is.

I thought about going but I have to drive 20+ hours only to probably break my gears out of my way overweight jet and pathetic flying skills.

I do hear it is a nice grass runway though and well kept.

Have fun I plan to get out East for one of these this year, maybe Kentucky.

yea small jets? or about a fiesta for people selling flexplates when you go through 3 pairs of them? Jets don't belong on grass.

Greg: You are damn right. I haven't been to Fla. Jets for quite some time, but
Frank makes it worthwhile.
Maybe next year will attend it. This is an event to enjoy and relax; if not look
for another hobby.

The grass is great and if you break your gear its because of your lack of flying skills not the runway. A few years ago yes you could blame the runway but not now. The grass is in perfect shape and it has been a warm winter down here so the grass should be even better.

Looking at Dustins site you can see some of the people making the trip.

Sure I could buy that, my skills do need some work. I do have a 30 lbs 1/8th scale f-16. A heavy little beast. Landing perfectly on grass would probably still rip them out. Three are people from my area that go to Top Gun, is it the same runway? I hear it is very good.

Sorry didnt mean to sound like I was moaning. I guess I am just trying to talk myself out of the drive

Greg I think I met you at Litchfield last year, those jets look familiar.

Have fun!

Harold and I will be there Tuesday. Frank T does a great job making everyone welcome. The runway is a nonissue. Extremely well organized and presented event. Don't hate.  PARTICIPATE!

you da man Bob! Thanks.
Regards the runway..... I would take the grass runway at FJ any day over the narrow hardtop taxiway that we used to fly from.
Regards Al

Agree, RWY 18R ar DFW may not be hard enough for that!

But I think Guillermo's still holds the record @31 lbs.
