I have just bought a secondhand , new in box Fly Eagle Jet Trainer in the Tiger Meet scheme, I have done a search on the forum, I cannot find much info on this model surprisingly good build quality it is very well made ,a very strong robust composite airframe, anyone out there have any experience with this model. I will probably be fitting a Merlin 100,oddly it does not have flaps ,and a small tank about 1.5 litre. Feedback would be most appreciated if you have flown one of these Cheers Chris

Instead of flaps many jet guys are using up ailerons to use the whole aircraft positive pitch as an air brake. Some guys have 10 to 15 degrees of up aileron, elevator trim to keep the model flying level, which ends up in a nose up situation, creating drag and he effect of flaps on the inner wing area.

Articles on this set up called "crow" for planes with down flaps and up ailerons, but it works the same without flaps...just use a little deflection and sneak up on a good setting to keep the power up and the speed down on approach, are available on www.rcjetaddiction.com and the set up is with the DX18.

Nice looking plane...double nose gear wheels...cool.

Good to hear, I'm not a sport jet fan but may have to get one since my new location doesn't have a nice paved runway. Can you post some pictures.
