Is there any consenses on what buggy is best for abuse looking at older models not hot of the press stuff.  I have been reading reviews for days and this person thinks this buggy is best the other person thinks that buggy is best.  Im clueless looking at ofna 9.5, serpent S811, Losi 8ight 1.0, caster ZX-1, VTX-BR1,  it will never see a race track lots of ugly skate part running.  I see lots of rollers out there and i have plenty of electronics from my t maxx bashing days.  I have a trx pro .15 that runs like a champ and was thinking of putting it in but everything comes with .21 or larger can my tiny pro .15 power a buggy?

That engine will not really be worth putting in a 1/8 buggy.
What kind of budget are you looking at?
If you want cheap 1/8 buggy the Hyper7 would be my choice, it has been around for years in various forms, is tough as old boots and parts are still plentiful and cheap.

The .15 engine will be underpowered for a 1/8 buggy and will be a pain to fit.

How about. Traxxas 2.5r or a vertex .25. I found one of those in in my price range. It's going into an ofna 9.5

Traxxas 2.5 is still a .15 - too small
Vertex .25 - questionable quality.

What is your budget for an engine and does it have to be a pullstart?  I would guess that the cheapest price for a decent engine would be $110 - $160

Assuming you want or need a pullstart, this engine will give you all the power you can use.

Oh haha I just picked up a Losi 454 for it this is my first engine above a .15. I get it now holy cow it's like twice the size. I feel like a dork asking if the t maxx engine would fit.
