Yeah , i don,t think so. Considering the Russians are STILL relying primarily on ERA as their main armor all the fancy tricks in the world aren't going to help it. Also, The US has the capability to defeat ANY type of ERA or any other armor for that matter. The diesel argument though is a good one, but the gas turbine creates much more power for the amount of fuel used and is a much lighter package. The Russian engines up until only a few years ago where only getting 300 meen time hours on their engines before total failure. they have so many types, versions, variants of tanks they will have the same issues the Germans had in WWII. No parts commonality. Now some of this is fact , some just my opinion which doesn't mean nothing but for my money I'll take an M1A1/2 any day of the week. No offense at all to our Russian friends , they do have some very good vehicles. I just think all competing manufacturers in Russia create more problems than they solve. I do think these new Russian tanks look cool as $%(^ though. And I have no idea why the font on my computer just changed. LOL
