What is the best grease to use on metal on plastic running gear for tanks?  I spent 6 bucks on some Tamiya Molybdenum grease and it is no good.  It seems to be really sticky and that is it.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

Hi,
LGB makes a good grease for gears on their trains, so it will not hurt plastic parts and can be bought at most model train stores or on the net.

Ceramic grease... or Ultra Lube, which is this white lithium based grease I found during an Internet search.

But you will get so many responses here. Some good, ah... some not so good.

As Panther says  don't use grease on any exterior part, only thing I grease is my gearbox. I am testing white lightning grease right now for bicycles and it seems to be pretty good stuff, it sticks like nothing I have seen before but the best part is it doesn't smell and it washes right off your hands.

LaBelle #106 Grease. For model trains etc, I've used it for years. Available at most hobby shops that stock either trains or RC.
