Hellcat716 -> Hangar 9 60 size corsair arf (9/16/2003 10:55:44 PM)

I spoke with Horizon Hobby today and they say that the Hangar 9 corsair arf will be availiable sometime in November. I believe we will be lucky if we see it before the end of the year.[&o]

HHRND -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size corsair arf (9/17/2003 2:00:14 AM)

Why do you say that you will be lucky to see it by the end off the year?

The hangar 9 AT-6 that I got came out about two months after the due date. I am thinking that all of the new ARFs are usually a month or two late getting out to the local hobby shops. That is why they cannot give us and exact delivery date.

Hey John (Scatpilot)- When are you guys going to release pictures of the new corsair. Can you gives us any details about the model? Thanks

Talked to Horizon today corsair should ship in a couple of weeks. They will call me when mine ships I will let everybody know when and if that happens.

SunShyne -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/6/2003 3:49:40 PM)

looks like a good candidate for an upgrade to the lg like most arf's. Oleo struts maybe?

PigMan Buggerus -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/6/2003 5:49:22 PM)

Yeah the retracts are the one big question that I have about this ARF. Is anyone from Horizon or Hangar 9 out there? Can you tell us about these retract compared to the ones on the p-51. I know they are different, but are they better, as in are the not as weak?

Thanks for the info.

Allan

Hellcat716 -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/6/2003 5:55:04 PM)

Carla from Horizon E-mailed me today with the new delivery date for the Corsair Nov 20th.

davidm -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/7/2003 12:54:45 AM)

The landing gear fix might be to spend $2 dollars for a peice of 3/16 wire at your hardware store and replace the wire in the gear, thats what I am going to do with my H9 P-51 60 Mustang

I believe that since this gear is a rotating gear, it will take more than just installing 3/16 wire gear. The device that makes it rotate will be involved with the fix.

SunShyne -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/7/2003 5:49:53 AM)

even more than buying thicker wire I was considering the scale factor. Im sure its not a fully scale model but having some nice looking gear is always a plus in my book.

roadhor -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/7/2003 5:59:00 AM)

I have a pair of pneumatics from a TopFlite Corsair that took a dirt nap a couple of years ago I plan on using in this plane if the flight reports come back favorable. The H-9 Corsair looks a lot like the TopFlite Corsair , or am I the only one that thinks so? Later

cruzomatic -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size <span class= (11/16/2003 2:23:01 AM)

No one has flown it, it's not out yet.

JuzPlaneKrazy -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/16/2003 2:28:06 AM)

Bummer, Thanks for the info. [:D]

Looks like a nice plane by the pics. H-9 puts out a nice ARF. I'll keep a eye out for the reviews as they come in.

Hopsterguy -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/17/2003 4:38:53 AM)

Ditto here... very intrested in reports. Looks like the price is right and judging from the pics, it looks quite nice.

MormonMike -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/25/2003 2:00:58 PM)

Im in the same boat as you guys are. I spotted the wobly landing gear in their recent catalog. you can see the plane is leaning to the right in the photo. Who ever of you guys gets their plane done first, find the best way to correct the gear problem and then post the results. MJS

PigMan Buggerus -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/25/2003 2:22:34 PM)

I talked to my LHS "Hobby Express" the other day. He has one ordered for me, he called Horizon, apparently it has been pushed back to mid December sometime. [&o] Bummer! But on the other hand, maybe they will have any issue with the retracts worked out. Here's hoping!

davham -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/26/2003 1:53:23 AM)

Was told by LHS who called Horizon today that the planes will be shipping next week.

Capt G -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/26/2003 1:58:05 AM)

Hey Greg are you getting one of these too? Soon you'll have as many Corsairs as I've got Mustangs.

PigMan Buggerus -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/26/2003 3:05:52 AM)

Sweet!!! I hope that is the case on the ship date!

Allan

Hellcat716 -> RE: Hangar 9 60 size Corsair (11/26/2003 6:20:06 AM)
