Hey all after almost a year of overly-frying my brain on research and seeing which bird I wanted to buy, I finally pulled the trigger on the TREX 450 PRO V2 Super Combo!!! Unpackaging will come as soon as I receive it with photos!!
Found a great deal on it, I paid $387 with shipping and no tax.

Is it FBL?

No i went with the Flybarred version for now with possible intentions to upgrade to FBL later in the future, hence the reason why i bought this kit. Plus I hear the FBL version isnt that great because alot of people are not a big fan of the 3GX.. If it was up to me I would upgrade it with BeastX FBL system.

There are three main things that I have found that I really like about fbl.

1.  Less components

2.  You can program it to fly really agressive or docile.

3.  Less drag and weight in the head which translates to more power.

One good thing about going FB first is that you will appreciate the differences when you do decide to switch.

"One good thing about going FB first is that you will appreciate the differences when you do decide to switch. " +1
I owned nothing but flybarred untill I bought the 550e 2 years ago now. I could'nt believe the differance between flybarred & flybarredless. FBL is so much easyier to fly, more stable, more responsive etc. I'll never switch back. That being said I think you made an outstanding choice.
If you learn to fly on the flybarred setup first, you'll only see improvement when you go flybarless.
Keep us posted & good luck

Alright i will let you know bro... By the way there isnt a whole lot of difference between the DX7 or DX8, so IMHO I would just go with the DX7 it should suffice.

Between the two as a primary radio, I would go with the DX8.  One of the nice features is the back light.  It doesn't seem like much, but I have had both with and without and it is much nicer having it.  The DX8 has a few other addtions besides the extra channel as well.

I have owned both dx-7 and the dx-8.

The 7 has BB on one axis of the gimbals, the 8 on both x/y axis. Plus it has other nice features too. Like the 4000 (!) Mah battery option and program, card.

The x/y movement of the sticks. The dx-8 sticks are *much* smoother to use. I didn't notice this at first, but it becomes evident after a while. I BB'd the gimbals in my dx-7, a fellow heli flyer liked the difference from his radio to mine, he bought my radio. That's how I ended up with a dx-8.
There is a you tube video on BB'ing the dx-7 gimbals, but you should have a more than passing knowledge of what is going under under the hood before you commence with this project.
Watch the videos, make your own decision. The BB kit is available from Heli Direct for $7.00 or so. Job takes about three hours of careful time.

I think you are referring to the original DX7...

The later model, the DX7s, has exactly the same quad bearing gimbals as the DX8.. I have  both and they feel identical in operation.  The DX7s can also use te 4000mah battery.

This is the link to the DX7s page, and it clearly states "quad bearing gimbals"

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdId=SPM7800

There is no difference in the gimbals between a DX7s and a DX8. they are exactly the same.

The DX7 (older version) does not have quad bearing gimbals and the difference is very noticable.

The 7s also has quad bearing gimbals, just lke the DX7..

I think he was referring to the older DX7.

the newer 7s (looks exactly like a DX8) can also accept the 4000 Mah Lipo
