I was checking out ZNline's web page but did not gather much about these planes. I am guessing the fuse is fiberglass and the wings are wood.
Are there any distributors in the USA for these planes?
Do any of you have experience and could tell me if they are all kits, or do they offer ARCs or even ARFs?

Prices, flying characteristics, and etc. for the Extra 330 would be very help.

Thanks.

They have a fiberglass fuse. The flying surfaces are balsa over foam. Desert Aircraft is the US rep. The problem is getting them here. I think DA has recieved less than a dozen since the last TOC. The kit is one of the best I've seen. The foam parts come sheeted. The control surfaces are cut out, except for a small section at each end that keeps it a single unit for shipping.

CPLR designed the 330s, it's what he used to win the 2000 TOC.
I have not even started on mine, so I don't have any first had info on how it flies. Chip flew CPLR's after the TOC and is supposed to have said it's one the easiest flying airplanes he's flown. I suspect it will be more capapable than 99.9% of us. The cost is in the $1800 - $2000 range.

Thansk tracy, that is very helpful. I hope you get yours started soon. A shame they are so hard to get, they look nice when complete.

It's not a fiberglass fuselage. It is Kevlar which results in a stiffer, lighter fuselage. The front end is carbon fiber.

Your are right. The finished product is beautiful. The wings always amaze me. So light yet so strong. The building process is fairly simply too, with most of the critical stuff being fully idiot-proofed (wing tube holes molded into the fuselage, ailerons pre-routed, elevators pre-routed, rudder too, all formers pre-cut. Most of the building time (exluding paint and covering) is in the set-up.
