Status: offline 		Do any of you use inline fuses for your charger circuits? I have gambled for 2 years having all my chargers directly wired to my distribution block. I got bit the first year where a power outage caused a reverse spike and blew up two chargers simultaneously, although service tech said the chargers were at fault and replaced them.

I'd like to see some pics or hear what fuses you are using and where you got them.

I believe it important to place a fuse in the line between the charger and the battery. Most chargers have a fuse on their input. However, the battery is a more powerful energy source than the charger. In the event of a short within the charger or the leads accidentally pulled from the charger, exposing male bullets, a fuse will be welcome.

I use an automotive blade fuse and inline holder available at auto supply stores for $5-6. The 20A holder has 12ga wires and will work with 20A or smaller fuses for series charging 2x5S packs typical in pattern. I've noticed that some of the parallel charging adaptors are equipped with a fuse by the mfg.

Status: offline 		Only need a fuse in one lead - doesn't matter which one - I fuse the positive lead.
