I recently aquired a large scale Extra at the Perry swap meet. The guy that was selling it was packing up, and didn't want to bother with taking it back home, so told me to take it if I wanted it. It needs a little work, but overall its not bad considering it was free. It needs a recover and the cowl is pretty much shot, but the structure is sound. The guy wasn't sure who made it or what size engine it took, but reading through other threads here on RCU, I am pretty sure it is an RC League Extra 330 (non composite one). It is the white, purple, yellow, and silver colored one with about a 76" wingspan (give or take an inch or two). I've done a RCU search and web search for RC League and really didn't turn up anything. I don't have any actual pics of it to post, but attached are a couple posted by skip1320 a few years ago of his RC League Extra. The one I have looks identical. Does anyone have an instruction book or any experience with this aircraft that they wouldn't mind sharing? I'm looking for info like engine size range, CG, control throws, etc. Also, if anyone has a cowl they wouldn't mind parting with or knows a good replacement cowl for this aircraft, that would be helpful too. I have the cowl off of a Hangar 9 27% Extra that I think I can make work, but it is a little big and not quite the same shape as the original.
Appreciate any help anyone can give me on this.
