I'm useing Klotz KL-100 at 20-1 in my FG-57T twin, it seems to like it and it smells good.
Be careful and make sure you pump some straight 2st oil into the crankcase vent line after the day is over,
the cams run almost totally dry on these things which is kind of lame for longevity.
I've got about 10-15 flights total on my 57t and one of the crank bearings took a dump last weekend, about .070- .090 end play in the crank.

Thanks for the info i will keep the comment about the oil in crank line in mind. Right now i am using Pennz which is not a sythetic but i have used it in my regular 2 stroke gassers for 5 years and the motor insides look brand new and no carbon build up. I have only ran the motor on the ground so far . Is Horizon or where ever you got your motor going to cover the damage to your motor ???

With what it costs to ship and insure both ways it's not worth trying to get them to fix it.
The bearings are cheap.
I've already had it apart once before to change the crank, carbon props are hard. Wood for me from now on!
I must say, short of the mechanical issues, this engine runs PERFECT and sounds so sweet!

Again, keep'em oiled REAL GOOD and there shouldn't be any problems.

I have several Saito "FG" engines and a Saito 150 converted with CH ignition.

I have been running Pennzoil at 20:1 in them with no problems.
