Ok i found a few months ago a german tank that was painted in a hard edge camo. I can't remember the tank or what i googled.

The biggest diference was that the pattern was very straight with sharp angles. Mostly stripes. Kind of like abstract paintings i guess.

I think it was a black/grey/white camo but the colors do not matter. I'm just looking for a general idea of the look.

I have been googling for the past hour and i can't find anything like that... Help!

The one i'm looking for was on a tank, 2 tone, very similar to the BOTTOM one on this boat:  http://www.steelnavy.com/images/trumpeter/Yorktown/cv10_camo.jpg

The MHN panthers had a banded hard edged camo. There is also a splinter style scheme knocking about. These are all normal tri colour though.

Pick up the Panzer Colors books I, II & III and any of the "In action" series (ie; Tiger in Action") all by Squadron. Plenty of color pics along with history and locations. .

Saddly our english bookstores carry NOTHING like that. Ordering is a must and shipping isn't nice with books.

That's the splinter one. The banded one looks like this:

Any good to you?

Close but no. All the one's posted and I keep finding have the lines going the length of the tank.

The one I saw had them going the width of it and even had the angles of the lines changing midway.

It was really cool... And would be great for what I'm planning.

Maybe if you can provide a little more information from what you might recall ... it might help, like ...
Are you positive it was a German tank you saw?
Was it a modern or older tank?
Was it a real tank, model, or just an artists illustration or maybe one from a game?

One other thing, if you haven't already looked ... if you don't constantly delete your entire browsing history, then try a history search for a link that might still be hanging around to that picture or webpage where you saw it, I've done that plenty of times in the past when I forgot to bookmark something I came across while simply browsing.

Is there any chance the tank was British with a Caunter camo scheme?

I just looked thru my Panzer colors books. Nothing I saw comes close to what Ronan describes. I wonder if it was an experimental paint job, or maybe an imaginary "World of Tanks" type paint scheme.

I recall it was a model kit painted or a b&w photo. I honestly can't remember since i went through 3000+ photos (yeah i know...).

What i remember is what i posted, very dark grey/black paint job with white stripes that broke off at angles.

The counter camo reminds me of it but i know it wasn't exactly like that. The one Badass posted is much too modern looking (their wasn't that many angles).

I will look more toward that direction but i do remember thinking 'this kind of looks modern but still has a 1945 WWII feel to it'.

I'm pretty sure it was a German tank since that's pretty much all i googled. Which tank i can't remember...

Were the white stripes mostly on the thinner side, thicker, or varying somewhat?

Were they mostly vertical going down, or did they also break horizontally?

Did they break & then keep in the same direction, or kind of have a jagged look to them breaking in a couple directions?

The tank was mostly grey/dark grey with medium thickness white lines that created high contrasted area's. Not that many of them, and they did jag around a bit (maybe 1-3 breaks per line, but not all line).

They gave a bit of a > shape. The lines were going the width of the tank (not the length).

Sounds like it would be a winter camo ... ?

And the lines were pretty  hard edged straight, rather than any rounded, wave, or slightly curvy kind of line at all ... hmmm, I think you will just have to find this picture again so we can see what the %$@# you're going on about ... lol

I don't remember the tank but i think it was a panther (they seem to have a LOT of different camo's, even some crazy one's).

I'm still searching, it's driving me nuts...

Airbrushler that's close but too many lines and a bit too thin.

Also wrong color but color doesn't matter just the pattern.
