So I finally got my Savage X out from winter hibernation last week! I drove it twice and everything ran great (and tuned the high speed needle a bit)
But today i wanted to get some serious tuning done to maximize wheelying and top speed. so i adjusted the idle needle a bit, as per manual says and the high speed needle a little bit. So i ran a whole tank and towards the very end of the tank it stalled (probably didnt have enough gas going to the engine.)
its important to not i didnt have any significant crashes. just a few rolls and a couple front flips after getting a little bit of air.
so i let it cool down a bit and filled her back up. but she wouldnt start... so i set the high speed needle back 1 turn. still wouldnt start. set the high speed needle to default (flush with the needle body thing) and it started with a lot of coaxing. and as soon as i gave it some gas and slowed it down to a stop it stalled... im a bit stumped. i havent messed with the low speed needle (so should be at or near default) and the idle and high speed needle are at factory. not sure whats going on...

    Thanks for the help!

TL;DR i tuned up my savage to what i thought was perfect. but then it wouldnt start but when i got it started (at factory settings) it wouldnt go anywhere it would stall.

Check you glow plug may need replacement, What I would do is clean out the entire carb by removing the HSN and stick a pic or paper clip that will fit in it and make sure its all cleaned out then spray with nitro cleaner and same do for other parts that can be clogged.

HSN? ive never cleaned my carb or really taken my car apart before but ive used nitro cleaner on the outside. And i checked the glow plug, the whole coil doenst glow, just the bottom part (the less exposed part of the coil). i may go buy some new ones they shouldnt be too expensive.
