Status: offline 		Anyone familiar/using this radio?  Undecided between this and the Spektrum.   Looks like the screen on the Futaba leaves something to be desired although I have only used Futaba all these years.

Status: offline 		I sold my 14MZ to purchase a new 14SG... while some might think this was a "down grade" it wasn't.
The 14SG display is MUCH easier to read. Battery life is superior to the 14MZ and the SG uses commonly available batteries... not a special and expensive Camcorder battery.
The SG has telemetry and supports ALL Futaba signal formats.
Programming the SG is not difficult, but having owned and flown Futaba for 10 years now, starting with the 9C, 10C, 12Z, 14MZ, and now the SG, I have learned their formats. However, I find the 14SG easier to program than my 14MZ.
Because I did NOT like my 14MZ, I had only two choices.... a $3000 18MZ or the $550 14SG... it was a no-brainer.
I have only been flying my new SG for a couple of weeks, but I like it

Status: offline 		Thats good news to me.   I have been flying (and still do) the 8ua on 72 for about 14 years now. Never had a signal issue.  Ever.  Still have the same battery...  which surprises me.   Programming is not bad now that I have used it so long....   This sounds like a good choice for an upgrade.  I think I paid more than $500 for the 8ua 14 yrs ago.  I use the 9402 servos... that are capable of even better performance on the newer systems.
