Status: offline 		Guess what Jitters, Thunder Tiger is putting out a slightly different version of the FM-1e, and it has a Ducati body
Ducati's Rule, Even though I still like a Yammy or 2.
I will try to find the web page and get a picture, or just google, you will find it.

Hey, do you remember back in 1974, the Ducati 750 SS ??? Oh I was just a wee lad back then. I wanted that bike sooo bad. It was the silver cafe racer with the fiberglass tank that had the clear unpainted vertical strip in it that let you see how much gas you had left. Desmo!!
Tell me where you saw the picture, I'll try to do a google later. Would it be under TT? Or Ducati or FM-1e ?

It is a Ducati 999r, just scroll down until you see Thunder Tiger Ducati and click for pics.
I tried to post one but I think it's too big of a .Jpg
It has fake brakes and a kickstand! Cool Looks to be anodized Aluminum frame too, Different swing arm slightly. Cicago Hobby show

Status: offline 		Every time I get an e-mail notification about an addition to an ongoing discussion in this forum and I see that it's from Ray, I get a big old smile and put everything else on hold and see what's up.
Damn Ray, that photo is sweet. So this teaches me, again, not to go out and impulsively spend my money, that I don't really have, on something I want. I am going to wait for this one to be released. It is so cool looking. I can't wait.
Now, if you don't mind Ray, I gotta get my coffee and get washed up and dressed.

Status: offline 		Here is a nice one off bike if the pic will fit. It's modelled after the FM-1e but mostly scratch built.
Wait I will put it in later on an edit. Have to post something else for those with the Kyosho 1/8th, that need some real power. I got this pic by googling: "FM-1e photo" that's it and it brings up alot of California Forums just on Bike racing, and one of my results garnred this bike of which I Emailed him, and asked to buy copies of frame templates to make my own out of Carbon fibre redily available at Aerospace Composites.

Status: offline 		has anyone dropped an 8 or 9 turn motor in and a good esc? i want to see one that can pull wheelies and go 45mph. too bad theres no room for a lot of cells.

Status: offline 		Hey I just bought a FM-1e on Ebay For $140.00 US , it's slightly used but it will do for the amount of mod's I am going to put in it.
It just popped up for a 3 day auction and it had a buy now of 140, so I took it.
I should get it in a couple of weeks, since I am in Canada I have it shipped to a buddy near the border and pick it up without any Taxes or Duty. Besides it's used it shouldn't get taxed or duty but just to be sure it goes to NY.
I will be testing mine with some low turn motors someday.
I have to get it first.

Status: offline 		OH, and its WELL WORTH IT.

Just remember...its more like flying an airplane than driving an RC car.

You have to "persuade" the bike...and when good at it....you can put it just about any where.

UNLIKE a RC car..it takes more practice to get good at it.

Like an r/c airplane the plane takes more skill than the average left/right turning of a rc car.
*prediction
* kowlege of your machine/habbits of it
* skills after practicing determine your ability.

Status: offline 		I used to race real bikes like this until I broke my back in 1990 now I race rc stuff, boats, cars now Bikes It's the Thunder Tiger FM-1e Electric/ gas R/C Bike and here is a link to one of the first R/C car Action reviews, In the Oct. 2003 issue of High Torques- R/C Car Magazine shows a totally tricked out r/c FM-1e, LINK:
