Hi John, Joe's email address is :
b17gjoe@juno.com
His Me.-163's are fantastic airplanes...I have a 105" and it is the easiest plane I've ever flown. I also have a new kit that I will be getting to shortly...I love this plane! I also have an Me.-262 that Joe built...fantastic! This guy can certainly build great flying airplanes! He's a good guy to deal with also.
Happy flying,
Rob Bailey / Pickupsticks

PS. If you email him, tell him I said hello!

John, It started out with an older Webra 1.20 and flew okay on this. I wanted a bit more power so I put in a new Webra 1.20...since the nose is glassed it's a bit of a hassle to get in to redrill for a different engine...the new Webra was only a small bit better. Still wanting more power though, I kept searching for something that I could swap out that would be the least hassle. Finally I discovered that the MDS 1.48 mounting pattern is the same as it is on the Webra's, so I bought one and it did the trick. Just enough extra to make me happy. Don't get me wrong, this airplane flew well on the 1.20's, but being 'rocket' powered, I just thought some extra speed/power would be nice.
I've attached a pick on my Komet...this one was built by Joe Saitta. By the way, are you looking for the 80" or the 105" wingspan? earlier this year I was in Fla. and met Joe and picked up my Me262. We did a little flying together and he kept an 80" Komet up for almost 8 minutes after it ran out of fuel!
Happy flying,
Rob Bailey / Pickupsticks

I have a litte Me-163 with a .61 in it. The thing really gets up and goes! Depending on where your CG is set too it can really glide pretty good. Very stable at both high speeds and low speeds.

Does anyone know if Joe has a website that gives the kit specifics that he sells. Basically I am looking for the price, what comes with the kit, suggested engine sizes, does he include the little landing flaps, and if he uses a dolly or whatever for takeoff for both the smaller and bigger one.

If anyone else can answer these questions I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
-Scott-

Scott, Best bet is to email Joe, I posted his email address a couple of posts back. I currently own 3 airplanes that Joe has built, a big Me-163, his prototype 102" Me-262, and a Meister Scale FW-190 D9 that he built. He does real nice work, and his kit's are very good too...I have a beig 163 kit that I picked up earlier this year from him...haven't gotten around to building it yet, but I've looked everything over pretty good and have no complaints whatsoever.
Happy flying,
Rob Bailey / Pickupsticks
