Well there seems to be interest again in rock crawling so I figure might as well make a thread on it, show off your crawlers (please keep the pics OF crawlers) give tips and ask questions. So lets start this off, go here to see my highly modded crawling clod : www.martyrproductions.com/projectclodcrawler.htm
Here are a couple quick pics of it.

Wow, it'd be awesome to build a rock crawler from scratch using custom parts. Just for a little information, can you provide links (if any) to some websites that sell some rock crawler parts or provide information about rock crawling trucks\parts? It might come in handy for potential builders if they decide to look into this side of R\C, in addition to being interesting reading.

By the way, sweet truck!!!

www.rcguy.com makes the gecko chassis, and www.rc4wd.com sells a bunch of custom plastic and cnc clod parts, and tires and wheels.

www.mudcow.com has vids of rock crawling (the best crawler I have seen in action). And I can make you links and steering set ups if you ever get a clod. I sell them on ClodTalk.
Thanks

is the paris a low end pipe? i need it to run really good at idle and have lots of low end torque. i was also thinking of putiing about 2ft of fuel tubing in a coil so it runs after it flips over.

It is just you, because the chassis is not long but the links are. The wheelbase on it is 14.5" and a longer wheelbase is better for crawling.

Everyone talks of this dirt digler.... Does he have any vids? Because I doubt nitro crawling. Or at least competive crawling that is.
