I will admit that some may find this question basic, but I need some help with a suggestion that was made to me.

I run a Futaba 6DA which has the standard receiver battery. I am working on a Vector Flight Edge 540 that will have a Saito 120 up front. For CG purposes, people have suggested an 1100 or 1200 Mah 6V receiver battery. A. because it weighs a little more and B. because I should get more powerful (quicker) response from the servos.

Assuming this is correct (please offer opinions if you disagree) and I go out and get one, what should I expect to pay? And, can I get one that will plug into the charging cord that came with my Futaba radio?

We all have the part of the hobby we like the least, and mine is batteries. So, I try to keep it as simple as possible, but if I can find usable weight for CG issues and possibly increase the performance of my servos, I would like to try to learn more.

All opinions welcomed.

Thanks,
John
