Here's mine! Started with a $350 1800 lb trailer kit from Harbor Freight. Then bought about $400 worth of Hardware, wood and paint and just started hammering with no plans whatsoever. This is what I ended up with.
And it was EXACTLY what I wanted!!
The license plate you see under my handle is the one on my trailer

It has:
12 volt deep cycle battery
Full compliment of chargers
400 watt power inverter
Solar panel installed on the roof to keep battery peaked
2 twin 12v ceiling lights
TV/VCR combo for in-flight video
dead-bolt locks on all doors
VERY loud alarm!
Fully carpeted upper interior (I slept in it at a float fly!!)
Room for 2 Giant scales and few small ones to boot (I can put my 30% Pitts in assembled!)
6' x 3' folding/slide out work table
Dimensions: 5' x 8' x 5'

Hey GelCell my transporter is like yours only mine is red!
It is tight but I can get 5 models in mine along with the C-130.

As the Toco Bell dog says..
"I Think I need a bigger box!"

sherman, nice job!
I like your design, did your rear door come out heavy with those wood shelves causing your trailer to be tail heavy? mine did with all of the iron hardware and now I am having to compensate by placing weight at the front of the trailer. I like you am going to fit my trailer with AC/DC so that I can have both worlds. I am going to build a box on the tongue in front of the enclosure that will house a lead acid marine battery and an electrical AC outlet adapted for an extension cord.

Can you please tell me where you got your solar panel at and what's the cost on something like that?
As far as the wood goes on my trailer I just purchased a gallon of Kool Seal to be painted on the roof to seal the roof from rotting. For those that are not familiar with Kool Seal it is what's used to seal the roof's on trailer houses, and can be purchased at any home builder's store such as Home Depot etc...

I got lucky and was made a great offer from our club president The trailer I purchased only cost $50.00, total cost with material is just under $300.00

After looking your trailer over I did not see a light over your license plate. Not sure what the laws are in your state but here in TX it's a law to have a light shining on the license plate. Maybe yours is there and I just can't see it from the pictures. *shrugs*

Anyway nice job.
Randy

hehehe

Hey Randy,

It is a simple case of was and is here.

Ford was the First Truck.

Dodge is the Best Truck,
and they will even carry a airplane or 5.

BTW Thanks... Not everyone can drive their trailers'
to the field like us huh?

Anyway Looking ahead.....
I see a trailer in my future. I need one more than I need the truck.
That is needing one pretty bad huh?
I am sure I am not the only guy watching this thread to get ideas on what he wants, needs, has to have or even more can bring the wife over to the computer and say "Look at what this guy did Sweetheart. He has a really nice trailer and with Fathers Day coming up I would like to have something like that."

Wait guys...I know your thinking it won't work. No wife is gonna give in to that. But, it will work for me. Cause She got a new truck for Mothers Day. So unless my trailer is gonna cost $26,000.00 I don't think I will have a problem.

So lets Trailer on boys.
