I have never used an RC boat, though I have used RC planes (Hobbico Superstar) andthose Toys R Us RC cars. Anyway, my family and I have a boat on a nearby lake tha can have up to 2 feet waves. I want the best, fastest boat that won't split a bow from hitting a 2 foot wave. Any suggestions? By the way, I want glow, not electric-how long will it run?

That's a lot to ask for in any R/C boat. You will want the biggest hull that you can get and you might want to think of Gas power instead of Nitro. How much can your wallet bear? You'll want something along the lines of a Warehouse Hobbies boat, they are laid up heavy for abuse. www.whobbies.com

Ron, your right on the money, A gas mono would be the only way to go, 50 inches plus, You could go the route Ron stated or with an aeromarine hull, the 57 inch apache with a g 260 would do the job. I would asked for a heavy lay up, which can be done upon request. Also, A gas boat will run much longer on a tank of fuel than a nitro boat. Hope this helped, Ken

24" waves.....hmmmm, don't think I would R/C it......think a crewboat would be best...I'm with ron and ken, a gas stock set up, something not to fast but with a lot of power.....going to need it to cross the waves.....you may want to put a flag on the antenna to see it between the waves.
