crisss,
You might want to check with your local Combat Pilots to see what they are building/flying and follow their lead. As I understand it, the JKA kits are pretty pricey there with the importing/shipping fees and the Dollar exchange rate.

In fact, quite a few pilots from Down Under are using SPADs for combat. Check these site out and be prepared to do a good bit of reading:

Hope this helps,

Aussi combat links:

Crisss, definately check the links for combat in Australia, as it its growing fast, and many are starting with Spads. From what we've heard, scale combat is not as popular downunder as open class. Good luck!!! And keep us posted!!!

Check out the JKAerotech site. Though with shipping they may be rather expensive there, you can follow their techniques and make your own with simple foam cutting gear. In places where the JKAerotech kits don't have an unreasonable cost for shipping, it's hard to beat their cost. And MAN are they durable. I sledgehammered an airplane last time. If only I'd had rubberbanded on the wing, I could have flown the next round. It was glorious.
