ORIGINAL: steliosh even though I m waiting for my first 1/5 bike to arrive next week, from what I ve read over the forums, I think so, yes. This big bike uses normal 1/10 car servos and electronics. It seems it has plenty of space to fit all them. It can take any 540-size stock or modified motor and a normal 6-pack stick battery. Ok thankyou I dont ave the money to spend on a 1/5th right ow though does anyone know about 1/8th? Having run both MK1 and MK2 (HOR) Kyoshos (these are the only 1/8's you can find, anyway), the cost playing right now at ebay, or a few select modelshops, like rcmart.com is around USD65 for a bike, and a similar amount for its electronics. The electronics are Futaba's MCR unit which consists of two things: a small servo (S135) and a small box which has integrated into it a 27MHz receiver and an ESC. Other than that you need a $15-20 battery (specific for the bike, at 270/600/1100 mAh) and a 27Mhz transmitter. The 1/5 cost might be similar to the above, considering you may have a motor, batteries, esc etc from a 1/10 electric car. So, the cost of the bike at about 200 Euros (hardly USD210-220). All things considered I m willing to try the big 1/5 scale, since I already have a few 1/10 and 1/12 electric cars/buggies! I ordered mine already from Germany's hobbyhaus (ebay). If you don't find the bikes on ebay, try to refine the search and place "from any country" and "to any country" in the resp. fields... As for the technicalities involved in the 1/8's check my site, ( www.steliosh.net/rcmoto/ ) or browse over the postings in this forum and others there are... You will find a lot of interesting and helpful advice from people who run and race bikes of all sizes... (and... fuels!)
