Hello Mike. I bought ten Hitec 605's from Tower. I sent one back to Hitec for repair. Right out of the box it was not operating correctly. (installed on ailerons in my P-40) Sometimes it would work, others it would not. On top of that when it did it would cause radio interference and cause the other servos to move uncontrollably. I changed it out and no problems since.
Then, after installing two on the elevators of my TGA F-15 I noticed that when moving through the full travel, upon centering one servo would travel past center then settle back to center.
I changed it out and the same thing happened. I tried a little controlled experement. I am running two 24" extensions from both servos. I removed them and just used the servo lead and the problem was greatly reduced. If this is an extension problem please advise me as to what to do to aliviate this condition. This particular kit requires two 24" exts. from the elevators and two 18" exts. from the ailerons.
Thank you, Marco.

drywaller- That's an odd one? You might try the buffered extentions. Other than that... I honestly have no idea other than sending the servos in for inspection.

Mike.

Thanks Mike. I am going to call Hitec to find out more about the buffered extensions and explain my test to them and see what they recomend.
Thanks, Marco.

Yes to the suggestion, I would strongly reccomend this.
I have had this happen twice here recently, once with my Brietling CAP wing servo's and the other day with my Decatlon.
Amplified or buffered extensions cures the eratic behaviour for me both with Futaba 9101's and JR 4131's
