Status: offline 		Does anyone know if Jeremy Fursman was invited to compete in this year's Top Gun? I did not see his name on the list of participating pilots. I would hope that he was invited and elected not to attend instead of not receiving an invitation. It would be ashame to think that the 2001 US Scale Masters winner was not invited. What kind of message would that send to us, the hopeful future competitors. Could someone please clear this up for me. Thanks.

Status: online 		I thought that the top placers in the Masters had an open invitation but I could be wrong on this. Anyone know the details?

Status: offline 		Top Gun entrants are by invitation only from the Top Gun Board of Directors. The board usually considers and invites several of the top finishers of the major scale events but, there are no "open invitations" to Top Gun that I know about. I have been fortunate enough to get an invite every year since 1991.
Jeremy may have been offered an invitation that was turned down. It's a long way to Florida from his home, and he may not have been able to, or not wanted to, make the trip across the country. Just like the Masters is a long way from the majority of folks again this year and will no doubt reduce the number of top competitors that attend again.
