hey guys, i am gonna be getting a brand new savage with a picco 26 soon (older savage 21 model cos newer savages are not available here yet) and i just wanted to know a few opinions on it. what ever you have to say about it whether it is good or bad i wanna here it.
i have heard that the hexes in the wheels keep stripping out. how would you go about fixing this problem?
i have also heard about the problem with the front fuel pick up in this truck and the half tank leaning out issue and i would also like to know how ppl sort out these problems.
is there any other issues that i should be aware of before i buy this truck?
please take the time to help me out and anything you can tell me about the savage is greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance, adrian

the savage that i am getting already has the picco 26 installed so i dont have the option of another engine. is that the dual tank mod that you have in ur pic?
i have seen that everywhere on the forums but no one goes into alot of detail about how it is done. could you tell me what fuel lines go where? with the hexes stripping, what causes this?

hmm bad rims too much play within the hex and all of hpi hexs are not consistant in size add all that and u get a wobbly hex in the hex socket leading to strippage and the header tank is easy make a mount on back and add fuel lines lol middle plug ot carb top plug to tank

so will the stock transmission and driveline hold up to all the abuse that the picco 26 will give it?

If you want to get a pretty full life out of the stock savage rims and hexes you can CA glue the hex into the rim ...just make sure its all nice and clean when you do it and that the hex sits down properly in the rim(I recomend mounting the wheels on the car and doing up the nut tight to seat them while the glue is still fresh )
