I've got a rossi 40 and we were experimenting with fuel mixtures today. I've read several of the sites and it seems pretty straight forward, however we don't seem to have it quite worked out.

We mixed up an 80/20 fuel. But I don't think we used the proper oil. I couldn't find castor oil so we tried a snow mobile injector oil, then a two stroke mix oil. On both occasions we found that the oil would separate from the methanol when allowed to settle. As well when we were running the motor the fuel would seem milky and come though the fuel line in small globs at times.

If you can't find castor oil what specific type of oil should we be using? Both types of oils I did use were supposedly the best of their type for the application intended.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
