The set-up is a black diamond 301, with a "C" drive. A $25.00 motor. It turns a 9 x 4.7. The batteries are 3 cell, 1200mah li-poly's. The airplane weighs about 12 oz ready to fly. The power is incredible! On a fresh pack, it will accellorate going straight up!

It will fly through the fountain, and it will float! Gusty winds (15-20) aren't good to be torque rolling over water with a 12oz plane.

Terrific looking plane, and photography. How long did it take you to build? Excuse my ignorance, but who makes it?

Thank you for the comments. The plane takes about 2 hours to build because the pieces are all laser cut and interlocking. It takes roughly about 5-6 hours to cover it, depending on how complex of a scheme you use. With the radio installed, your looking at a whole day to complete. Radical R/C makes the kit.

Jason,

The Verti-Go looks like my kind of model! I have an Astro 010 14 turn brushless motor. If I put their new little gearbox on it, do you think it will be enough motor with 3 Li-Po cells? What size Li-Po should I use? Also, where is the CG and what are the throws for good 3D? Does the LG come with the kit? The darn Radical RC web site has no dimensions! What is the span and area of the Verti-Go and the weight? Thanks a lot for any info you can provide.
